The construction of Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital is now 70 percent complete after two years of construction.
The update was shared by Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bunheng during an inspection visit to the construction site last Saturday.
The construction of Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital began on Mar. 1, 2019, with a grant from the Chinese government and is the second-largest project after the Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital.
H.E. Mam Bunheng said that the construction of Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital will be completed by upcoming October.
The hospital covers an area of 24,300sqm and the construction is estimated to cost some US$50 million.
The US$80-million worth Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital is currently under construction and has been set to put into temporary operation in upcoming September and the official launch will fall on earlier next year.
