Senior Transport Officials Meeting (STOM) Leaders of ASEAN and Japan gathered in their 19th Conference held on July 13 via Videoconference.
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Chheang Pich, Director General of the General Department of Logistics at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and ASEAN STOM Leader for Cambodia and his Japanese counterpart.
The annual conference was aimed to review the ASEAN-Japan Transport Partnership Work Plan 2020-2021 (AJTP), set for new objectives and work plan for the second semester of 2021 and first semester of 2022 which will be submitted for approval from the 19th ATM-Japan Meeting to be hosted by Cambodia in November this year.
The conference also looked into and agreed to conduct comprehensive studies on the Report under Proof of Concept on ICT Solution for Overload Vehicle Control, ASEAN-Japan Guidelines of Certifications Audits for Cold Chain Logistics, and Utilisation of Big Data to Improve Mobility proposed by Japan, and the result will be submitted to the 20th ASEAN-Japan STOM Leaders Conference and the 19th ATM-Japan Meeting.
