A total of 69,549 people toured Cambodia in the fourth weekend of July, an increase of 9.54 percent compared to the previous week.
The figures were shared yesterday by Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon, adding that, of the visitors, 68,251 were national and 1,298 were foreign tourists.
The most visited destinations were Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, Kandal, Kampong Speu, and Kep.
Management of COVID-19 situation in the capital and the provinces are very important factor in boosting the number of tourists, he added.
The minister encouraged the continuation of COVID-19 prevention measures including safety distancing, large gathering avoidance and sanitary practices.
