A total of 63,488 people toured Cambodia in the third weekend of July, a decline of 9.22 percent compared to the previous week.
The figures were shared this morning by Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon, adding that of the domestic visitors, 62,394 were national tourists, and 1,094 were foreign visitors.
The most visited destinations were Phnom Penh capital, followed by Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, Battambang, Kampong Speu, and Kandal provinces, he pointed out.
Ecotourism and adventure tourism destinations continued to play a key role in attracting tourists, which contributed not only to increasing income for local people, but also to preventing the COVID-19 spread through responsible travel by maintaining safety distance and reducing large gathering, underlined H.E. Minister.
