Cambodia to Build Kratie-Kampong Thom Bridge under China’s loan

Chinese government has agreed to provide a loan to Cambodia for the construction of a bridge in Kratie province, according to H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport.

The feasibility study on the construction project of a bridge connecting Kratie province to Kampong Thom province has been completed, said H.E Sun Chanthol.

Once finished, the bridge will facilitate the movement of people across the Mekong, as they now cross the river by ferry or boat, he added.

It will also contribute to boosting the economic growth and attracting more investors to Cambodia, H.E. Senior Minister underlined.

The construction of the 1,761-metre-long bridge would take about two or three years, H.E. Sun Chanthol said.
