COVID-19: 678 New Cases, but 763 New Recoveries

Cambodia this morning reported 678 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the tally thus increased to 44,124.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, 58 of the new infections are imported and the rest are community cases related to the Feb. 20 incident.

Meanwhile, the ministry recorded 763 new recoveries; bringing the total recovered cases in the Kingdom to 38,766.

Besides, COVID-19 claimed 18 more lives; the death toll therefore jumped to 459.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
