The daily new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia remain around 400 in the past few days, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health.

Among the 423 new infections this morning, 111 were imported and the rest were community cases connected to the Feb. 20 outbreak, it pointed out.

The national counts thus rose to 90,958, including 14,623 imported cases, said the same source.

At the same time, it added, there were only six new deaths and 291 new recoveries, bringing the total death and cured cases in the Kingdom to 1,841 and 86,993, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 Community Event.
