Cambodia this morning detected 426 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the tally thus increased to 36,666.

The Ministry of Health’s press release shows that among the new cases, 46 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

At the same time, up to 760 more patients have recovered; bringing the total cured cases to 29,807.

Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic claimed 11 more lives; the total number of fatal cases in the Kingdom rose to 300.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
