COVID-19: Over 700 New Cases; 58 Imported

Cambodia reported 729 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) this morning; bringing the tally to 36,240.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Health, of the new infections, 58 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

Besides, Cambodia recorded 398 newly recovered patients; the total recovered cases rose now to 29,047.

Moreover, 11 more people have lost their lives due to COVID-19; the total number of fatal cases in the Kingdom increased to 289.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
