COVID-19: Tally Rises to Over 90,000, but 86,130 Recovered Cases

The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia jumped to 90,107 this morning with the detection of 466 new cases, pointed out the Ministry of Health.

According to the ministry’s press release, 94 of the new infections were imported and the rest were community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

Meanwhile, 512 more patients have successfully been cured, but 13 others have lost their lives due to COVID-19; bringing the total recovered and death cases in the Kingdom to 86,130 and 1,821, respectively.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
