COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign in Phnom Penh Ends with Success

The vaccination campaign against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Phnom Penh, which began on Feb. 10, was wrapped up today with success and no life has been in danger due to the vaccination.

The remark was made this afternoon by Phnom Penh Municipal Governor H.E. Khuong Sreng at the closing ceremony of the vaccination campaign.

Only more than 23,000 people have not been vaccinated due to health problems, he added.

For her part, H.E. Mrs. Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Chairwoman of National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, said that more than 2,1 million people of 18 years old and over in Phnom Penh have been vaccinated against the deadly disease.

This figure reflects the people's trust on Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen, she underlined.

Despite the vaccination success, both H.E. Mrs. Or Vandine and H.E. Khuong Sreng called on the public to continue to strictly implement the health safety rules, especially the 3 Dos, 3 Don't measure.
