H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will attend and deliver a statement at the mid-term Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), at the invitation of H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Ministerial Conference will be held virtually on July 13-14, 2021 in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made public this evening.
Under the theme “Non-aligned Movement at the centre of multilateral efforts in responding to global challenges”, it pointed out, this virtual conference will provide opportunity for the NAM Member States to take stock of the progress achieved on various issues pertaining to the agenda of the movement since Baku Summit in 2019, as well as to discuss and exchange views on how NAM could respond to the growing challenges more effectively.
H.E. Prak Sokhonn's statement will be centred on how to address global challenges through cooperative multilateral efforts, strengthen the values of multilateralism and international cooperation, attain sustainable development and prosperity for all in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Cambodia’s stand for multilateralism for peace, among others, concluded the press release.
