HM Queen-Mother Donates US$30,000 for Luong Me Hospital’s Operation

Her Majesty the Queen-Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk has donated US$30,000 to Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) to support the operation and mission of Luong Me Hospital.

“This donation reflects Her Majesty the Queen-Mother’s priceless kindness and attention,” underlined H.E. Mrs. Pich Chanmony, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of TYDA, in a recent thank you letter to the monarch AKP received today.

In March, the Royal Government announced to purchase Nokor Tep Women’s Hospital in Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, and changed its name to “Luong Me”.

Her Majesty the Queen-Mother and His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni have contributed each US$200,000 to support the preparation of “Luong Me” (Queen-Mother) Hospital into a treatment centre for COVID-19 patients.
