The U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh said one million doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine donated by the U.S. to Cambodia via the COVAX facility will arrive Cambodia soon.
This donation is part of the United States' ongoing support for the people of Cambodia and the region as it recovers from this devastating pandemic, underlined the embassy in a press release issued this evening.
The first half of the doses will arrive on Friday, July 30, at 07:15 a.m. at Phnom Penh International Airport and the remainder is expected to arrive on Monday, Aug. 2, it added.
Embassy Chargé D’Affaires Ben Wohlauer and representatives from the Royal Government of Cambodia, World Health Organisation, and UNICEF will attend the vaccine’s arrival event.
