Some 73,790 people toured Cambodia in first weekend of July, a 17.87 percent decline compared to the previous week.
The figure also indicated 60.11 percent decrease compared to the same period of 2020, according to H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism.
Of the domestic visitors, 72,681 were national tourists, and 1,116 were foreign visitors, he pointed out.
The most visited tourist destinations were Phnom Penh capital, followed by Kampot, Battambang, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Speu, and Kandal provinces.
Coastal areas, together with eco and natural tourism sites attracted domestic tourists the most.
