Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication will sell another type of COVID-19 rapid test kits for US$2 each to end-users soon, H.E. Minister Chea Vandeth announced on Aug. 9.
The ministry has placed orders of the rapid test kits from China, he said, adding that there is no additional cost as the price set was exactly that spent by the government to buy the kits.
This new type is easier, but as accurate as the existing rapid test kits, H.E. Chea Vandeth underlined.
Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has instructed the sale of rapid test kits to end-users to capacitate and enable the private sector to run the rapid testing for COVID-19 for their staff in order to timely and better contain possible outbreak of COVID-19, especially the delta and delta plus variants.
The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has also imported rapid antigen test kits from South Korea for US$3.7 each.
