Temporary Travel Ban for Vietnamese Back and Forth to Cambodia

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has issued a temporary travel ban of Vietnamese back and forth to Cambodia due to the fear of COVID-19, especially the new variants of the disease.

The ban was notified in an official letter signed yesterday by the minister H.E. Veng Sakhon circulated to all Vietnamese firms investing on economic land concession in Cambodia.

It requested those firm to temporarily halt the back-and-forth travel of their Vietnamese employees to work at the investment areas in Cambodia.

Cambodia made the move due to the increasing threat of COVID-19 in the country spiking daily average infections to nearly 1,000 and claiming a total death toll of 953 per July 13 record.
