A metal elephant made from different pieces of chainsaws seized by the authorities in the legal action against forestry crimes, has been completed.
According to the Ministry of Environment, this metal elephant will soon bring to display in the Sen Monorom Recreational Park in Mondukiri, a northeastern province Cambodia.
H.E. Neth Pheaktra, a Secretary of States of Environment and spokesman said it was assembled by at least 300 metal items, including chainsaws and parts of motorbikes.
According to the Spokesperson, Cambodia currently has more than 500 wild elephants in the natural habitat and more than 375 elephants in the five wildlife sanctuaries in Mondulkiri province.
