Some 4 million visitors, both local and foreign, are expected to enjoy the celebration of the Water Festival in Phnom Pen, being held from Nov. 10 to 12.
4 million national and international tourists would visit Phnom Penh capital to enjoy the Water Festival celebration, and this expected number is similar to the figure last year, H.E. Top Sopheak, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Tourism said.
Ministry of Tourism has collaborated with other relevant ministries and institutions to ensure the smooth process of the Water Festival and to draw more visitors.
According to H.E Top Sopheak, other destinations like coastal areas � Preah Sihanouk, Kep, Kampot, Koh Kong provinces � and Siem Reap province, home to the famous Angkor temples, as well as the eco-tourism area in the northeastern part of the country are also expected to attract a lot of tourists during the three-day holiday.
