French development agency AFD (Agence Francaise de Developpement) delegation has appreciated progress of Cambodia's ministry of water resources in implementing its assistances.
The appreciation was highlighted in a meeting yesterday between H.E. Lim Kean Hor, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and a delegation led by AFD Country Director for Cambodia Mr. Philippe Steinmetz at the ministry here in Phnom Penh.
H.E. Lim Kean Hor updated the AFD delegation about achievements, challenges and strategic directions of the projects funded by AFD and carried out in cooperation with the ministry of water resources.
He thanked AFD as well as France for its continuous support for the development of Cambodia, particularly in management of water resources.
Mr. Philippe Steinmetz and his team express their appreciation for the progress made for the AFD-financed projects and are positive of future cooperation between the ministry and the agency.
Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology is currently implementing two AFD-funded interventions � water and agriculture sector project, and water resources management and agro-ecological transition for Cambodia.
Taking the opportunity, Mr. Philippe Steinmetz also introduced his successor Ms. Ophelia Bourhis who will replace him as AFD Country Director in September 2019.
