All State Markets in Phnom Penh Allowed to Resume Their Operations

The decision was shared in a press release issued recently, adding that the reopening of the markets is effective from June 15.

Mask wearing and safe distancing are mandatory for all at the markets’ compound along with strict implementation of the “3 Dos and 3 Don’ts” measures, temperature screening, hand washing, and Stop Covid QR Code scanning.

Big gatherings are discouraged at the reopened markets, it added.

All the state markets were temporarily shut down since April 24, 2021 due to growing COVID-19 threat. On May 24, only the sales of foodstuff and takeaways were allowed, and the number of customers entering and leaving the market had to be limited so as to ensure safety distancing.
