The cabinet meeting, held here this morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, approved the Draft National Agricultural Development Policy 2022-2030 to further boost the country’s agriculture sector.
According to H.E. Phay Siphan, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Chairman of Royal Government Spokesperson Unit, this is another achievement in the national policy framework to promote the growth of agricultural sector through increased productivity, diversification and competitive and inclusive commercialisation, which provides high quality and safe productivity and ensures food security and nutrition with high consideration of sustainable management of agricultural land, water, forest resources and fisheries.
The policy is aimed to transform Cambodian agriculture into a modern, competitive, inclusive, environmentally resilient, and sustainable agriculture that will increase the incomes of agricultural households and improve the Cambodian people’s well-being.
