Cambodia has asked Japan to explore a possibility to formulate of another eco-technology park at Kirirom resort in Kampong Speu province.
The request was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth during a recent meeting here in Phnom Penh with Mr. Takeshi Izuka, President of A2A Town (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. and Founder of Kirirom Institute of Technology.
H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth continued that an investment on another eco-technology park by Japan's investors as well as technology companies will contribute significantly to further develop technology resources in Cambodia in response to happening digitalisation.
The deputy prime minister spoke highly of the Japanese firm in charge of the establishment of Kirirom Institute of Technology that is playing a crucial role in developing human resources, especially in technology and eco-tourism in the Kingdom by far.
He also encouraged the A2A Town (Cambodia), Kirirom Institute of Technology to cooperate with Techo New Business Training Centre on applied research and on creation of new programme startups.
In the meeting, Mr. Takeshi Izuka also updated the deputy prime minister that the institute trained Cambodian students on many subjects such as software engineering, data science, cyber security, and beyond.
