Cambodia Calls for Peaceful Solution to Russia-Ukraine Crisis

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has called for peaceful dialogue and solution to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The Cambodia Premier made the appeal at the press conference here on Feb. 24, following his bilateral meeting with visiting H.E. Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob, Prime Minister of Malaysia.

“I and H.E Prime Minister of Malaysia discussed quietly the Russia-Ukraine crisis and we want a peaceful solution,” he said.

Early today, Russia announced a military operation in Donbas, the eastern region of Ukraine. UN Secretary-General H.E. António Guterres urged Russia to stop its troop from attacking Ukraine.

“Under the present circumstances, I must change my appeal: President Putin, in the name of humanity, bring your troops back to Russia. The conflict must stop now,” he tweeted.
