Cambodia Cheers the 94th Anniversary of Chinese People’s Liberation Army

Cambodia's military delegation on July 28 virtually joined the celebration of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from Cambodia.

Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence led the Cambodian delegation to join the event with H.E. Wang Wentian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cambodia.

Lieutenant Colonel Li Jingfeng, the Director of the Office of the PRC Military Attaché, addressed the event stressing that Cambodia and the People's Republic of China have overcome all the difficulties, including those caused by the pandemic and stepped forward with a comprehensive cooperation.

The leaderships and the peoples of the two nations are deeply committed to share the same boat heading to the same destiny, he underlined.

On behalf of the Cambodian side, Lieutenant General Phat Vibol Sopheak, Deputy Director General of the Defence Ministry’s General Department of Politics and Foreign Affairs spoke highly the achievements made by the Chinese People's Liberation Army in the past 94 years.

These are great achievements, he stressed, emerged from the courageous and heroic hard work, especially in modernising the army and the nation at large.

He also highlighted the blossoming cooperation between Cambodia and PRC as well as the armies of the two countries, and profoundly thanked the PRC's side for all the supports to Cambodia.
