Cambodian food has earned awards and recognition from the Best Asian Gourmet Challenge 2019 in Bangkok of Thailand.
The update was shared by the President of Cambodia Chefs Association Mr. Long Bunhor who led Cambodian team for the competition taking place from May 26 to June 1.
Cambodian dishes nominated, underlined Mr. Long Bunhor, received one gold trophy and 27 gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Head of Siem Reap Provincial Department of Tourism Mr. Ngov Sengkak considered the success as a key tourism drive as the ministry of tourism has been using quality, well-served and sanitary food as a mechanism to further attract tourists to Cambodia.
Outstanding chefs from Cambodia, China � including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan � South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Pakistan along with 30 best ones from Thailand joined the challenge.
Established in 2013, Cambodia Chefs Association has led Cambodian teams for various international food competitions, earning awards, medals and recognition.
