The Royal Government of Cambodia has handed over copies of the 1:25,000-scale Cambodia-Vietnam topographic map to 35 relevant ministries and institutions.
The handover ceremony took place here at the Peace Palace this morning under the presidency of Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence, high representative of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
The 1:25,000-scale Cambodia-Vietnam topographic map comprehensively shows the results of border demarcation and border marker planting work achieved by the two neighbouring countries. It is a modern map illustrating clearly and exactly the joint border lines, border markers and geographic situations.
“This map reflects the 84 percent achievement of border demarcation and border marker planting along Cambodian-Vietnamese borders,” underlined H.E. Var Kimhong, Senior Minister in charge of Cambodia Border Affairs Committee.
Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen of Cambodia and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc of Vietnam signed to acknowledge both countries’ border marker planting which achieved 84 percent, in Hanoi, Vietnam on Oct. 5, 2019.
Cambodia and Vietnam share a common border of 1,270 kilometre long.
