Cambodia Hosting APT Telecommunication and ICT Development Forum

Cambodia is hosting Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT)'s 16th Telecommunication/ICT Development Forum (ADF-16), according to local media report.

The three-day gathering intends to provide opportunities for APT members to discuss development issues for telecommunications and ICT and exchange information and experience to further promote the sector.

Speaking on the opening ceremony of the event yesterday here in Phnom Penh, H.E. Tram Iv Tek, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, congratulated the 40th anniversary of APT.

He spoke highly of the community's effort not only in contributing significantly to telecommunication/ICT development, but also in advancing people's life quality in the Asia-Pacific region.

The minister also highlighted the ministry's initiative and action plans in response to the APT's strategic plan 2018-2020 and the joint statement of the minister in charge of the Asia-Pacific regional telecommunications and ICT in 2019.

As shared by Mrs. Areewan Haorangsi, Secretary-General of APT, the ADF-16 will continue paying attention to the APT's strategic plan 2018-2020 in order to upgrade the global innovation.
