The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with different stakeholders hosted here yesterday a National Workshop on Cambodia's Position Development for CoP25, UNFCCC.
The event was presided over by H.E. Chuop Paris, Director General of Environmental Knowledge and Information, Ministry of Environment.
The director general highlighted the key national policies related to climate change, and emphasised Cambodia's position and needs in response to climate change.
H.E. Chuop Paris also shared the Kingdom's contribution to the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Cambodia has taken part in responding to climate change in line with the principle of collective responsibility, but at different levels and in accordance with its own capacities, he underlined.
A Cambodian delegation will attend the Santiago Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 25) to be held from Dec. 2 to 13, 2019 in Chile.
