Cambodia Praises World Vision for Active Participation in Implementation of Government’s Policies

Cambodia has highly appreciated the active contribution of World Vision in carrying out the Kingdom’s policies since the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime on Jan. 7, 1979.

H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, expressed the appreciation while receiving here on Oct. 19 Mr. Edward Danielraj Selvanayagam, new Country director of World Vision for Cambodia.

World Vision has been present in Cambodia for a long time, said the minister, adding that the organisation works mainly in the fields of technical and vocational training, the abolition of child labour, nutrition, education, etc.

For his part, the new country director of World Vision thanked the Royal Government for allowing his organisation to carry out humanitarian activities in Cambodia.

The two parties took the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to further strengthen their partnership.
