Over 364,000 domestic holiday makers were tracked last weekend, an 11.45 percent increase compared to a week earlier, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, on June 20 shared the situation of domestic tourists on June 18-19, 2022 with a total of 364,636 tourists visiting the country, including 345,143 national visitors and 19,493 domestic foreigners.
Preah Sihanouk coastal province was the most visited destination, followed by the provinces of Kampot, Siem Reap, Battambang and Kep, and Phnom Penh capital.
H.E. Thong Khon added that the number of international tourists in Siem Reap province saw an increase after the flight between Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam was resumed by Cambodia Angkor Air on June 16, 2022.
