Cambodia Reports No New COVID-19 Case; But 4 Cured Patients

There is no new case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reported this morning, but four recovered patients, according to a new press release of the Ministry of Health.

The four recovered cases are Cambodian men returning from Russia, Mali, Indonesia, and Pakistan. They have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively, it pointed out.

The total number of cured patients thus rose to 229 or 83.88 percent of the total confirmed cases of 273, the same source added.

The 273 confirmed cases in Cambodia include 174 Cambodians, 40 French, 17 Chinese, 13 Malaysians, 8 Indonesians, 7 Americans, 5 British, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 1 Belgian, 1 Indian, and 1 Kazakhstani.

Since the first case detected in Preah Sihanouk province in late January, the COVID-19 pandemic has so far hit 13 provinces and capital of Cambodia.
