Cambodia Request China’s Shenzhen University to Promote Business Potentials to Chinese Investors

H.E. Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce, has urged Shenzhen University (SZU) to promote the country’s business potentials and opportunities to Chinese investors.

A recent MoC news release highlighted that H.E. Minister made the request while giving a lecture on “Cambodia’s Benefits from Participation in Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) of H.E. Xi Jinping” to 100 lecturers and students of SZU in Guangdong province.

The minister spoke highly of the BRI in strengthening international cooperation through economic, investment, financial and cultural connectivity. He exemplified that the two-way trade between Cambodia and China alone was worth US$7,400 million in 2018.

He also presented the audiences about the strong and rapid economic growth of Cambodia and its vision to become an upper middle-income economy by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050.

In reply, Prof. Li Qingquan, President of SZU, pledged to disseminate Cambodia’s business potentials and opportunities to Chinese investors, mainly business community with head office in Shenzhen city.
