Cambodia and the United States have expressed their optimism over their bilateral cooperation in the field of labour.
During their meeting here at the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training yesterday afternoon, H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, and U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. W. Patrick Murphy expected that the labour cooperation between the two countries would see more progress as their diplomatic ties improved.
Both sides also underlined their willingness to strengthen cooperation between the two nations not only in the field of labour, but also in the area of trade.
The Cambodian labour minister briefed the U.S. diplomat on Cambodia's labour and vocational training developments under the good cooperation with the U.S. government and U.S. partner organisations, as well as the extension of the Better Factories Cambodia (BFC) programme for another three years, from 2020 to 2022.
