Cambodia To Mark 15th Anniversary of King’s Coronation Tomorrow

Cambodia is going to solemnly celebrate the 15th anniversary of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni's coronation as the King of Cambodia on Oct. 29.

Religious and traditional ceremony will be organised in the presence of His Majesty the King, Cambodian top leaders and royal family members at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

Best wishes for the King have been broadcasted on TV and radio stations and printed in newspapers and magazines.

His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni succeeded to the throne on Oct. 29, 2004 by a vote of the Council of the Throne and following the late King-Father Norodom Sihanouk's abdication.

To mark the Coronation Day, Oct. 29 is set to be a public holiday by the Royal Government of Cambodia for all civil servants as well as employees and workers in the private sector.
