Cambodia Wins 17 Trophies at ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 in Indonesia

Cambodia has won 17 trophies for ASEAN Tourism Standard at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Of the 17 trophies, 5 trophies were granted for the 4th ASEAN Homestay Award, 3 for the 3rd ASEAN Community Based Tourism Award, 5 for the 2nd ASEAN Public Toilet Award, and 4 for the 2nd ASEAN Spa Services Award.

According to H.E. Thong Rathasak, Director General of International Cooperation and Tourism Development at the Ministry of Tourism, the 4th ASEAN Homestay Award's trophies were given to five Cambodia guesthouses including Eagle, Black Bear and Mien Mien in Koh Kong province; Trapaing Sangke in Kampot province; and Sambor Prei Kuk in Kampong Thom province.

Trapaing Sangke Tourism Community in Kampot province, Koh Han Eco-Tourism Community in Stung Treng province, and Anlong Thom Tourism Community in Siem Reap province won the 3rd ASEAN Community Based Tourism Award.

Aeon Mall Phnom Penh, Public Toilet No. 4 in Preah Sihanouk province, Srah Srang Public Toilet in Angkor Institute, PTT Public Toilet in Koh Kong province, and Stop Pichnil Public Toilet in Kampong Speu province earned the 2nd ASEAN Public Toilet Award.

SPA Temple at Cambodiana Hotel in Phnom Penh, JIVAPITA SPA in Phnom Penh's Royal Residence Hotel, SO SPA with LÓCCITANCE at Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort in Siem Reap province and SPA at Naga World in Phnom Penh attained the 2nd ASEAN Spa Services Award, he added.

There were in total 158 trophies for ASEAN tourism standard at ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 taking place on Feb. 5.

Of the 158 trophies, 43 for the ASEAN Homestay Award, 29 for the ASEAN Community Based Tourism Award, 48 for the ASEAN Public Toilet Award, and 38 for the ASEAN Spa Services Award.
