Cambodian PM Continue Reminding People of COVID-19 Pandemic

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen continued to appeal to his compatriots to pay high attention to the COVID-19 pandemic even though Cambodia has found zero new case for nearly a week.

“We must all remain vigilant in maintaining our personal hygiene to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The pandemic is extremely contagious, that is why many countries are closing their doors and imposing travel bans,” wrote the Premier in a message on his official Facebook page this morning.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister also advised people to often wash their hands with soap or alcohol- or gel-based sanitizers and wear facemasks everywhere, and to follow the news and instructions of the Ministry of Health.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen quoted the figures from the World Health Organisation saying that as of today, the number of people infected with the COVID-19 in 216 countries and territories increased to more than 6 million and the death toll rose to 379,941.

“There is no drugs proven to cure this disease yet,” he underlined. “For Cambodia, although the number of positive cases is small, we must not be careless and ignore this deadly disease. Wish you all happiness and be safe from the COVID-19.”

As of this morning, a total of 125 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Cambodia, of them 123 have recovered.
