Cambodian PM Receives Former Japanese Ambassador

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here at the Peace Palace this morning H.E. Ogawa Gotaro, former Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia between 2000 and 2003.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, in the courtesy meeting, H.E. Ogawa Gotaro lauded Cambodia for the fast development compared to 2003 when he ended his diplomatic term in the country.

H.E. Ogawa Gotaro added that he currently helps train Cambodians in the fields of language, research, culture, law, and Judo.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the former ambassador for his active contribution to the promotion of both countries’ relations and the development of Cambodia, and now to Cambodian human resource training.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister asked H.E. Ogawa Gotaro to help build Cambodian athletes’ capacity in Judo in preparation for the 32nd SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by the Kingdom.
