Cambodian PM to Attend World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2022 in Switzerland

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high delegation to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2022, at the invitation of Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2022 will be held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland on May 22-26, 2022 under the theme “Preparing for the Post-COVID era”, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the forum, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will deliver substantive remarks at the Closing Ceremony of the Discussion with Stakeholder under the theme “Strategic Outlook on ASEAN”, and at the Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders’ Lunch-Restoring Peace and Order.

On the sidelines of the Forum, Samdech Techo Prime Minister is also expected to have meetings with leaders of some countries as well as received courtesy calls from world political and business figures.

During his stay in Switzerland, Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen will deliver an opening speech at the CAMBODIA NIGHT, an event sponsored by WorldBridge Group to promote foreign businesses in Cambodia. Samdech Techo will also have a meeting with Cambodian compatriots living in Switzerland and other European countries.

On his official Facebook page this afternoon, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said he will leave for Davos-Klosters at 1:30 AM on May 21 and planned to meet with Cambodian nationals in Zurich, Switzerland in the evening of May 21.

“I would like to thank my compatriots living in European countries for releasing congratulatory videos for my trip to Europe,” he added.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister will be accompanied by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport, H.E. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, and other senior government officials as well as members of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.
