Cambodian Sepak Takraw and Chinlone Athletes to Get Trained in Myanmar

Twenty-six Cambodian Sepak Takraw and Chinlone athletes, 8 of them are female, are getting ready for a five-month training camp in Myanmar from December 2022 to late April 2023.

The update was shared by Mr. Cheat Khemra, Coach of Sepak Takraw and Chinlone, adding that the training camp will be supported by the Government of Myanmar.

The training intends to further strengthen the capacity of Cambodian athletes toward the 32nd SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia.

Mr. Cheat Khemra was positive that through hard training with good coaches, Cambodian Sepak Takraw and Chinlone will earn at least three gold medals in the games.

Sepak Takraw and Chinlone are considered as one of the potential sports among the listed 37 kinds of sports and a demonstration sport for the SEA Games 2023.

The federation prepares 22 disciplines for the games including 10 men-women Sepak Takraw disciplines and 12 Chinlone disciplines.

Besides, he added, two national events – the 3rd National Games and the 2022 National Championships – are also planned to further sharpen the capacity of the athletes.
