Cambodian Top Diplomat to Attend Asia-Pacific High-Level Conference on Belt and Road Cooperation

Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will attend the Asia-Pacific High-Level Conference on Belt and Road Cooperation under the theme “Promoting Cooperation on Combating the Pandemic for Sustainable Recovery” to be held virtually on June 23, 2021 in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China.

According to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Conference will be chaired by H.E. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, with the participation of Foreign Ministers of Belt and Road Cooperation partner countries as well as high-level representatives from the United Nations.

The Conference will exchange views on how to further strengthen collective efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, achieve socio-economic recovery as well as enhance partnership for sustainable and inclusive development, it added.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn will deliver his intervention focusing on many important aspects including the enhancement of an open and inclusive multilateralism, promotion of international partnership and cooperation in ensuring equitable global access to Covid-19 vaccines, and sustainable socio-economic recovery, pointed out the same source, continuing that he will also share his insightful and practical recommendations with the Conference.
