During the first semester of 2020, Cambodia authorised 2,522 construction projects worth over US$3.84 billion, according to the data from the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction quoted by local media.
The figures showed an increase around 13 percent compared to some 2,000 construction projects worth around US$3.39 billion during the same period of 2019.
Of the investment in the first half of 2020, some 2,000 construction projects worth US$774 million, up 143 percent, were authorised by the municipal and provincial administrations.
The rest 207 construction projects worth more than US$3 billion were licensed from the ministry level.
