Cambodia’s First Lady Dispatches Relief Item to Vulnerable Children and Youth

Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), has visited and handed out relief items to 275 children and youth with disability and impaired intelligence.

The humanitarian activity took place yesterday at the National Borey for Infants and Children of Tonsay Organisation located in Damnak III village, Sangkat Stung Meanchey, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

According to Ms. Thor Poeu, Chairwomen of National Borey for Infants and Children, this is the fourth visit of Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen to the vulnerable children.

This act, she added, reflects high attention to the children by the Cambodian Red Cross as well as the Royal Government of Cambodia, especially Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen.

National Borey for Infants and Children was established in 1980 to rescue and rehabilitate children and youth who are orphaned, abandoned, disabled and intellectually impaired.

By far, 143 vulnerable children and youth � 60 of them are female � are living at the centre.

The relief items dispatched to the children and youth at the National Borey for Infants and Children by the CRC president include, rice, instant food, packet money and other necessities.
