China Encourages More Imports of Cambodian Agricultural Products

China is encouraging more imports of Cambodian agricultural products, including mangos, longans and yellow bananas into the country.

The update was shared during the meeting between H.E. Ngin Chhay, Director General of Agriculture General Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and his Chinese counterparts, in Beijing recently.

With the encouragement, China is considering all requests for import from Cambodian side and will schedule to send its experts to examine and evaluate the products shortly.

Both sides also agreed to further boost other agricultural cooperation including speeding up the 2nd registration of Cambodia's rice millers, and the promotion of sanitary and phytosanitary on Cambodia's swiftlet bird's nest and pepper products.
