Visiting Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister H.E. Wang Yi expressed China’s support for Cambodia’s internal and external policy. According to H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, in a courtesy visit to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen in Phnom Penh this afternoon, H.E. Wang Yi said that China will continue to strongly support Cambodia’s internal and foreign policies, the long-term perspective of Cambodia to protect the sovereignty, integrity and independence, as well as the continuation of leadership.
The Chinese foreign minister said the continuation of leadership in Cambodia is the important key for Cambodia-China friendship and cooperation as both nations have shared the common destiny.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked China for the support, adding that the relationship between the two countries has laid a solid foundation in many fields.
Besides, Samdech Techo Prime Minister and H.E. Wang Yi exchanged their views on the post COVID-19 economic recovery, COVID-19 vaccination, trade exchange, ASEAN-China relations, energy sector, investment, and regional and international issues of common interest.
