Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) is upgrading its information management system in order to better the mine clearing service in the Kingdom.
The move is made possible through the assistance from the United States Humanitarian Demining Research and Development Program (HDR&D) and the Mine Advisory Group (MAG) will support CMAA on the information management modernisation.
Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony for the work yesterday, Senior Minister and First Vice President of CMAA H.E. Ly Thuch considered the effort as a turning point for CMAA.
The update is crucial because it will allow more accurate data and information across capital and provinces of Cambodia for the country to operate effective and efficient mine clearing activities, he added.
On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the senior minister thanked the U.S. HDR&D and MAG for the assistance and cooperation.
