Cambodia's construction sector created between 147,450 and 150,000 jobs per day for the first nine months of 2019.
The update was shared by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, highlighting that from 43,400 to 43,500 were in Phnom Penh.
During the said period, the price for skilled workers in the sector was between 40,000 and 60,000 Cambodian Riel [about US$15] per day, while the engineers received from US$400 to US$2,500 wage per month.
During the same period in 2018, the sector created some 220,000 jobs per day country-wide, and Phnom Penh capital alone hosted about 10,000 jobs on a daily basis.
