Cambodia’s Ministry of Health reported a total of 224 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, underlining that these are PCR test results.
According to the same source, almost all the new infections are locally transmitted cases linked to the Feb. 20 Community Event while only 5 were imported.
The national counts now increased to 114,148, including 19,150 imported cases.
Meanwhile, 499 newly recovered patients and 10 new deaths others were recorded; bringing the total cured and death cases in the Kingdom to 106,292 and 2,441, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 incident.
