COVID-19: 625 New Cases, 705 New Recoveries, 12 New Deaths

The Ministry of Health this morning announced the detection of 625 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the tally rose to 40,782.

According to its press release, of the new infections, 34 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.

The ministry also recorded 705 newly recovered patients; bringing the total number of cured cases in Cambodia to 35,030.

Besides, 12 more people have lost their lives due to COVID-19; the total fatal cases thus stood at 380.

The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
