CRC President Extends Sympathy over Severe Flood in Belgium

The Cambodian First Lady, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) today sent a message to Ms. Laurette STEENSSENS, President of Belgian Red Cross Society on the devastating flooding in Southeast of Belgium.

"I am deeply saddened in learning that 20 people died, many people missing, and several thousand people had been evacuated to shelters, caused by severe flooding in Southeast of Belgium on July 15, 2021,” she said.

“On behalf of Her Majesty Queen NORODOM MONINEATH SIHANOUK, our Honorary President, and in the name of the CRC and its staff and in my personal name, we would like to convey our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to You, Ms. STEENSSENS, to the Belgian Red Cross Society and to the Belgian people, particularly to victim families and to those who lost their beloved ones," she underlined.

Samdech Kittiprittpundit also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, fast finding of the missing and success in the restoration of the flood ravaged areas.
